Custom-manufactured gaskets

LarsLap manufactures gaskets in a wide range of materials and shapes to match specific industrial components. Production runs from standard round gaskets to complex CAD-machined geometries. An existing gasket can be used as a template to reproduce a replacement when no drawing is available.

Materials and capabilities

Gaskets are cut on a modern Atom cutting machine, which handles both high-volume standard shapes and one-off custom profiles. A broad selection of materials is held in stock, and additional materials can be sourced for specific chemical, temperature, or food-grade requirements.

Material Properties Thicknesses
Pure graphite Available self-adhesive 0.5 mm, 1 mm, 1.5 mm
Reinforced graphite Multiple grades and temperature classes 0.5 mm, 2 mm, 2.5 mm
Pure PTFE Food-grade quality 1.5 mm
Reinforced PTFE Varying chemical resistance 1.5 mm
Fibre Varying grades and chemical resistance 1 mm, 1.5 mm, 2 mm, 2.5 mm

Why it matters

Correctly specified gaskets keep sealing surfaces tight and prevent leakage in demanding applications. Matching material to the operating environment, temperature, chemical exposure, and pressure reduces the risk of failure and unplanned downtime. Custom manufacturing means a sealing solution can be produced to fit existing equipment rather than redesigning around an off-the-shelf part.
